Daniel Wall

BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying | Founder & Principal, Insight Cost Consultants Ltd

Daniel Wall is the Founder and Principal of Insight Cost Consultants Limited, a quantity surveying and cost management practice operating across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United Arab Emirates. A graduate of South Bank University, he has spent close to thirty years in the profession, and Insight now directs an increasing share of its capacity toward hotel, aparthotel, branded residential and luxury hospitality development.

Daniel joined BWA in 1997 as a Junior Quantity Surveyor and progressed through every grade of the business over 25 years, becoming Director in 2017 with sector responsibility for hospitality and hotels, and Managing Director of BWA (Europe) Limited in 2021, holding full profit-and-loss responsibility for the European business.

Since 2022 Daniel has also acted as a development-side consultant to 1Ness Foundation, sourcing hotel opportunities, producing development appraisals, participating in site acquisition negotiations and leading brand strategy for five distinct hotel typologies.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • Founded Insight Cost Consultants (2022) — dual UK and UAE entities serving clients including Sunset Hospitality Group, Hilton Group, HCA Healthcare UK, Lululemon, Pandora and ARC'teryx.
  • Cost Manager on landmark F&B and hospitality schemes — including Bacchanalia, Mayfair (£50m), Sushi Samba, Dubai and Milan (£20m), and Nambos, London (£5m).
  • Hotels, aparthotels & branded residences — cost management for Sunset Hospitality Group's Mett Hotels brand and procurement management for Hilton Group schemes in Manchester and Oxford.
  • At BWA — led the feasibility study for a multi-million-dollar Bahamas resort, the Four Seasons Hotel, Giza (>£100m), Shangri-La Abu Dhabi and BWA's UK hotel programme for Ramada Hotel Group.
