Christopher Highams
Founding Director
Chris brings senior leadership experience across corporate and private-sector environments, with a sharp commercial focus on project execution, risk management and value-led exit strategies. He began his career with a major bank-owned residential and commercial agency, rapidly progressing to Regional Director before launching and scaling a series of successful ventures, including:
- Launching, stabilising and successfully selling a corporate relocation business that, at its peak, managed more than 10,000 senior executive moves each year.
- Creating several integrated property services businesses spanning surveying and valuation, repossession portfolio management, part-exchange portfolio management and property trading.
As a director and shareholder of a privately owned services business, Chris helped scale the organisation from 60 to 260 employees, establishing it as one of the fastest-growing private companies. He developed strong capability in applying ISO 9001 and Six Sigma disciplines — early precursors to blockchain-style process management — to strengthen risk controls and drive business performance. Through his independent work, Chris has also built deep expertise in business planning, capital markets and the commercial delivery of complex projects.
Chris's understanding of capital markets and institutional investment led him to become a founding partner of HSS, which is focused on delivering smarter capital solutions for projects and businesses — reducing risk, improving funding efficiency and enhancing returns. This capability is reinforced by direct, end-to-end experience of establishing a fund, acting as fund managers in Jersey and taking the venture through to exit in 2025. That journey provided practical insight across the full investment lifecycle, from fund formation and governance to active management and value realisation.
