An accomplished, results-driven senior real estate and hospitality executive with comprehensive experience driving asset value optimisation, portfolio growth and strategic investment performance across hotel, mixed-use, commercial, residential, leisure, tourism and retail asset classes in Asia, the Middle East, the Indian Ocean, Europe, Oceania and North America.

Alan is adept at maximising ROI through operational efficiency, revenue optimisation and repositioning initiatives, with recognised strength as a General Manager overseeing daily operations, service excellence and guest and tenant experience. He is well-versed in asset lifecycle management, acquisition and disposition, capital planning, due diligence and investment analysis, and has led PMO and senior project management functions establishing governance across strategic infrastructure investment pipelines.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • CEO of Hospitality, Steamships (A Swire Group Company), Papua New Guinea (2024–2025) — led the hospitality division across hotels, restaurants, franchises, serviced residences and MICE operations, delivering two major hotel refurbishments and a new branded serviced-apartment launch, achieving 15% business growth.
  • Area General Manager & Senior Director of Development AMEA, La Vie Hotels (2023–2024) — oversaw the first three hotels of a global hospitality brand in Sri Lanka and a luxury Maldives resort, advancing regional business development across Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
  • Executive Vice President, Asset Management & Advisory, JLL, Singapore & Tokyo (2019–2023) — delivered end-to-end advisory services for third-party investors across APAC, launching JLL's Asset Management division in Japan.
  • Director of Asset Management Europe, CBRE, London (2014–2017) — directed hospitality asset management across 5,000+ rooms and mixed-use assets, delivering consistent revenue growth exceeding 20% year-over-year.
  • Earlier career — Asset Manager and Assistant Vice President roles with Jumeirah Group and Dubai Holding, Dubai, London and New York.
